Description:

This set is designed specifically for F3J / F5J gliders up to about 3.6 m and 2.1 kg takeoff weight and very slim fuselage. The fuselage of the model should offer enough space for the 480-27 S with 4.4: 1 gear. There are about 28 mm body diameter inside needed. Due to its speed of 2700 rev / min / V in conjunction with the 4.4: 1 gear makes it perfect for large propellers with 16 inches. For reasons of space or weight reasons, a 3S LiPo is used.

With an Aeronaut Cam Carbon 16x8 the 480-27S generates 500 watts, so that is about 170-190 watts/kg available. This is sufficient for a whopping 45 degree climb performance and no problem by starting a sailplane with max. 3.6 m span and up to 2.8 kg.

As a battery, we recommend the extremely slim XCell 3S LiPo 2.200mAh, so 8-10 climbs will achieved. With this set, which weighs just 240 grams complete (without battery), it goes very quickly to the limits of sight and the model is very light to take even the smallest thermals.
