Description:
The Haviland Canada DHC-2 Beaver´ is a single engine, high wing propeller-driven STOL aircraft, developed
by de Haviland Canada and is used both for civil and military applications. The airplane can easily be
equipped with wheels, skis or floats which makes it very flexible. This explains its widely spread use in
remote rugged places, isolated archipelagos and snowed-in areas but also its use as a military airplane and
jungle airplane which explains its utility name "Bush plane". The DHC-2 offers place to 7 passengers and 1
pilot and is equipped whit a 450PS radial engine.
The DHC-2 Beavers first flight took place the August 16th 1947 and until 1965 there were 1657 pieces built.
Nowadays about 500 DHC-2 are still operational.
